Annette Messager

Messager is best known for her multi-media installations. She used themes such as feminism, dreamscapes, the body, theatrical environments and the aesthetic of collage. Her work may look whimsical and playful when you first look at it but she encourages her viewers to take a serious look at the complexity of ideas on display, she incorporates fruit of domestic activities and found objects in her work. Most of her work examines life through a feminist lens.

I like her work because of the way she displays it, she hangs her work from the ceiling and it looks different and can create a different meaning for the work also it makes it look more complex.
