Rankin’s Destroy Project

The photos in Rankin’s destroy project have been effectively destroyed by their artist to create original pieces of art. They have been destroyed in loads of different ways, they have been ripped apart and sown back together, they have been burnt, some have been painted on and others have been drawn on.

Florence Walsh drew over her portrait with a metallic pen, she got her inspiration from when she was back in school and she would decorate the photos in magazines.

Debbie Harry masked out, burnt, stitched up and painted on her pictures to create a series of 6 destroyed portraits.

He has had work published in magazines, he as taken photos of many supermodels, artist, bands and politicians, so he is seen as a celebrity photographer. Rankin's is genuinely passionate about portrait photography no matter what type of situation it is.
